## About the MATLAB logo

The MATLAB logo is a 3D surface plot of the L-shaped membrane, the first vibration mode of a membrane stretched over an L-shaped region. It is shaded from orange and brown (#B85B10, #84360F) to teal (#4ADDDF). The same membrane serves as the MathWorks company logo.

The logo reads well on light and dark backgrounds.

## When to use this logo

Use MATLAB in scientific computing language comparisons, engineering course materials, .m file-type icons and toolchain diagrams. It pairs naturally with Python, Julia, R and Jupyter.
