# DALL·E

DALL·E is OpenAI's family of text-to-image models, including DALL·E 2 and DALL·E 3, that generate digital images from natural-language prompts.

## About the DALL·E logo

The DALL·E symbol is a row of five colored squares: yellow (#FFFF67), cyan (#43FFFF), green (#51DA4B), orange (#FF6E3D) and blue (#3C46FF). The same strip appeared as a signature watermark on DALL·E 2 images. OpenAI first showed DALL·E in January 2021, announced DALL·E 2 in April 2022 and DALL·E 3 in September 2023. In March 2025, GPT Image's native image generation replaced DALL·E 3 inside ChatGPT.

The yellow and cyan squares are hard to see on white, and the lockup's black wordmark disappears on dark surfaces. In those cases, use the monochrome version.

## When to use this logo

Use DALL·E in image-generation model comparisons, AI art tool roundups and docs for apps built on OpenAI's image API. It also fits model picker UIs that list text-to-image backends. It pairs naturally with OpenAI, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly and Google Imagen, and with Sora for OpenAI's video model. Use the five-square symbol alone when space is tight.
